EDUCATIONAL NETWORKING BETWEEN SCHOOLS AND NON-FORMAL CONTEXT. An exploration of the relationship between schools, science education, and new forms of communication in Europe.

Disponibile presso:

Divided into three sections, Science@school presents itself as a concise yet rich tool for understanding how science education is changing in Europe. The first part outlines the current cultural and educational context, highlighting the tensions between formal and non-formal teaching, the role of technologies in education, and the connections between scientific research, communication, and outreach. The second part focuses on the tools of networking: digital platforms, participatory activities such as conferences and workshops, and collaborative practices for context analysis. The third section describes the NetS-EU project, from which the volume originates, and offers a reflection on the future directions of educational action from a European perspective. Despite the variety of contributions, the text is held together by a common vision: that networking among different actors—schools, museums, universities, associations—is not an optional extra, but the necessary condition to respond to the challenges posed by the knowledge society. The decision to include only voices directly involved in the project ensures an experiential and authentic perspective, making the book also a concrete example of good practices. Available in nine languages, the volume serves as a basis for international dialogue on how science can today be taught and experienced, in new ways, both at school and beyond.

This volume is published in nine languages: Italian, English, French, German, Slovenian, Danish, Portuguese, Dutch, and Czech.
