The volume brings together the main results of the SEARCH project (Sport Education for Active and Responsible Citizenship through Health caring), carried out between 2020 and 2022 by a consortium of seven European organizations operating in Italy, Greece, Spain, Austria, Slovenia, Ireland, and Turkey.

The first part of the book explores the importance of physical activity for the development and health of young people, providing national and international guidelines, nutritional recommendations, and assessment tools such as the SEARCH Questionnaire.

The second part presents the concrete outputs of the project: from the Open Portal dedicated to training, to the e-learning course, and the mobile application, offering a comprehensive overview of the learning methods and operational tools developed.

The author emphasizes that physical education is not only a matter of increasing physical activity, but a strategic cultural intervention capable of promoting well-being, social inclusion, and long-term savings in healthcare costs.

Thanks to this publication, teachers, educators, and professionals in the fields of sport and health can understand the importance of integrated policies and effective methodologies, tested and shared on a European scale, to enhance physical activity as an educational and social tool.

This book is available in 7 languages: Italian, Spanish, German, Turkish, English, Greek, and Slovenian.
